The Research & Development Committee (RDC) successfully organized the Summer Internship Project (SIP) Workshop Series – 2026 for MBA students with the objective of equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to undertake their Summer Internship Project (SIP) effectively. The workshop series comprised three online sessions conducted between May and July 2026, providing students with comprehensive guidance on various stages of the research process.
The first session, “Introduction and Literature Review,” was conducted on 8th May 2026 by Dr. Shikha Singh. The session focused on helping students understand the significance of the Summer Internship Project and guided them through the process of selecting an appropriate research topic based on their internship experience. The second session, “Research Methodology – I,” held on 13th June 2026, was also conducted by Dr. Shikha Singh. The session introduced students to the fundamentals of research methodology, including research design, types of research, formulation of hypotheses, identification of variables, sampling techniques, and methods of data collection. Students were also guided on questionnaire design, research ethics, and selecting appropriate methodologies aligned with their research objectives.
The third session, “Research Methodology – II,” was conducted on 4th July 2026 by Prof. Subhendu Bhattacharya. This advanced session focused on data preparation, descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, interpretation of research findings, and effective presentation of data using tables and charts. The resource person also explained the process of drawing meaningful conclusions and writing research reports based on the analyzed data.
Overall, the SIP Workshop Series – 2026 served as a valuable academic initiative by the Research & Development Committee (RDC), strengthening students’ research capabilities and preparing them to undertake and successfully complete their Summer Internship Projects with confidence and academic rigor.
