The IICs of the Pillai Group of Institutions organized an exhibition of budding entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector through the Soch Alegria 2024 initiative on 31st January 2024. The objective of this event was to create a platform for budding food entrepreneurs to showcase their products. A wide range of food stalls depicting the four major regions of India were displayed. The stalls were put on by budding student entrepreneurs to exhibhit their products and learn marketing skills for their business. The event was organized as a part of the Alegria Campus festival where the student of IIC of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research actively participated and enhanced their skillsets.
Desi Dastak: The Heritage of India brought forth the diverse culture of India in the form of its cuisine, cultural performances and artifacts. The environment turned lively and engaging as the visiting crowd savoured the various cuisines of the different regions of India. It was indeed a sneak peek into India’s rich culinary history. A portion of the earnings were donated by the student entrepreneurs to charity. 7 PIMSR students, 7 faculty members and 75 external participants participated in the day-long event.
