Building confidence through meaningful learning experiences, the Social Service Committee Team of PIMSR conducted an English Reading session on 3rd September 2026 for the students of 6th Standard at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi, as part of Project PANKH.
Recognizing the importance of English reading and communication skills in academics and everyday life, the session provided a supportive and encouraging environment for students to practise their reading skills and participate without hesitation.
The session began with an activity in which the students were encouraged to read a paragraph aloud, one by one. This activity focused on improving their pronunciation, reading ability, fluency, and confidence. It also aimed to encourage the students to develop a regular reading habit. Whenever the students faced difficulty in reading or understanding a particular word, the MBA student volunteers patiently guided them, corrected their pronunciation, and helped them understand the meaning.
The students actively participated in the session and appreciated its interactive and engaging nature. Their enthusiasm and willingness to read and participate made the session a positive and encouraging learning experience.
The session helped the students improve their reading and pronunciation skills, strengthen their understanding of English words, and develop greater confidence in reading aloud. It also encouraged them to overcome hesitation, seek guidance when required, and develop an interest in regular reading.
The session was conducted by the MBA student volunteers Ms. Swarali Phadnis, Mr. Harshwardhan Shelke, and Mr. Bhushan Bageshwar.
