Creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for school children, the Social Service Committee Team of PIMSR conducted a Session on Basic English Grammar and Marathi Reading on 1st September 2026 for the students of Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi, as part of Project PANKH.
Recognizing the importance of language and communication skills in academics, the session provided a supportive, interactive, and encouraging environment for the students to learn and practise. The session began with the students introducing themselves, which helped create a comfortable atmosphere and encouraged them to participate confidently.
The session then focused on opposite words, with simple explanations and activities designed to strengthen the students’ memory and improve their vocabulary. Furthermore, the students participated in an engaging word-guessing and fill-in-the-blanks game, which encouraged them to think, recall appropriate words, and apply their learning in an enjoyable manner.
The students appreciated the interactive nature of the session and enthusiastically participated in the games and activities. The engaging approach helped make the learning experience enjoyable while encouraging active participation.
The session provided the students with an opportunity to strengthen their basic English vocabulary, improve memory and word recall, and develop greater confidence in using language. The interactive activities also encouraged thinking, participation, and learning through practice, while the Marathi reading component supported their continued development of reading and language skills.
The session was conducted by the MBA student volunteers Ms. Gayatree Haldavanekar, Mr. Soham Patil, and Ms. Harshada Hulawale.
