PIMSR organized Introductory Academic Session on Logistics for EEPSITAA SkillEdge at Pillai University Auditorium for first year students of MBA and PGDM on 26th February, 2026. The EEPSITAA SkillEdge Program in Logistics (ESPL) provides learners with hands-on expertise, in-depth industry understanding, and international exposure, enabling them to succeed in the rapidly expanding logistics industry. ESPL transforms learners and corporate enthusiasts from acquiring knowledge to assuming leadership roles—empowering them with the competencies, industry exposure, and career pathways needed to thrive in global logistics careers. The program started with lighting of the lamp to seek blessings of the Almighty. There was the presence of Dr. R Chandran, Director of PIMSR and PBS, distinguished faculty members of PIMSR, volunteers, students and invited guests in the program.

The overview of the program and introduction of the guests was done by Prof. Subhendu Bhattacharya. In his speech he mentioned India is a progressive nation and will be an economic super power in the future. Despite setbacks and challenges, India maintained high GDP growth rate, infrastructure development, and industrialization. It is now a manufacturing hub and going to be an export driven economy despite geopolitical tension and global polarization. Introductory speech was delivered by Dr. Samir Shaikh, Head HR, Marketing and Business Development. He referred to government certified logistics courses offered in Navi Mumbai by EEPSITAA SkillEdge. He also shed light on various aspects of Shipping, freight forwarding, port and airport cargo operation, Ecommerce business and retail logistics. There was Mr. Vilas Pandhe, Director of EEPSITAA SkillEdge, who talked about the growing status of logistic operations in road transport, freight service, maritime transport and air transport services. He informed attendees that Global opportunities are unfolding in shipping, port and terminal operation, e-commerce service, warehousing, freight forwarding, 3PL, supply chain management and logistic entrepreneurship. He also said that there are massive requirements in Bhiwandi warehouses, JNPT and newly built Navi Mumbai International Airport for trained manpower from logistics, inventory management and supply chain management. Pamphlets and brochures of course and curriculums for workshop, foundation and advanced programs, corporate training were distributed. The program ended with question and answer session followed by vote of thanks.
