As part of Project ‘PANKH’, the Social Service Committee Team of PIMSR organised a Reading and Vocabulary Session on 24th September 2026 for the students of Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi. The session was aimed at creating an engaging learning environment where students could improve their spelling, vocabulary, listening, and word-building skills through simple and interactive activities.
The session opened with a brief interaction between the volunteers and the students. The volunteers introduced themselves and invited the students to share their names, helping to build a friendly and comfortable environment for participation.
The students were first involved in a Dictation Activity, where the volunteers spoke out simple words and sentences, and the students wrote them down. This activity helped the students improve their listening ability, spelling, writing accuracy, and concentration. The volunteers also checked the responses and explained the correct spellings wherever required. This was followed by an interactive Word Chain Activity. In this activity, the students were asked to form a new word using the last letter of the previous word. The activity encouraged students to think quickly, recall words, and build their vocabulary while participating with their classmates.
The students participated enthusiastically and showed interest throughout the session. The activities made the learning process more enjoyable while also allowing the volunteers to interact with the students and understand their learning needs.
Overall, the session was a meaningful and engaging learning experience that combined education with interaction and active participation.
