Speaker- Prof. Vikrant Gharat, Assistant Professor at PiMSR conducted a session on Dare to Fail as a part of imparting life skills to the management students of PiMSR on 1st September, 2023 at 1.15 p.m. 175 students attended the session. Prof. Vikrant is working as an Assistant Professor at PiMSR. He is a B.Sc. rank holder from Mumbai University and also completed his MMS (marketing) along with LLB from Mumbai University. He is an international motivational speaker and author and has won multiple National awards. He is also a leadership consultant, Life coach and a Business Strategist. He is a gold medallist at state-level karate and has completed his Civil Defence Training. Interestingly, he is also a professional mountaineer of the Himalayan Range, Directorate of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Prof. Vikrant Gharat began the session by explaining the concept of Dare to Fail by giving the real life example of three army officers, one who was having the potential to complete the training and followed by support of the leader he was able to complete the difficult training, while the other two officers even though talented had a fear of failure that led them to actually fail. This real life example highlighted the importance of trying and making efforts to complete the tasks and having a dare to fail approach to really succeed in life. The interactive session saw students engage with him, gaining insights into his remarkable journey, the challenges he surmounted, and the values he deems crucial for budding management students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
