Making learning more engaging, interactive, and accessible for school children, the Social Service Committee Team of PIMSR conducted a Session on Basic English Grammar and Spelling on 8th September 2026 for the students of Savitribai Phule Shala, Podi 2, New Panvel, as art pof Project PANKH.
The session began with a 20–25 minute educational video on Singular and Plural Nouns, using simple examples to help the students understand the concept with ease. This was followed by a fun and competitive quiz on the Smart Board, where questions related to the topic were presented and students were encouraged to participate and write down their answers. The students displayed great enthusiasm, remained attentive, and showed eagerness to learn throughout the activity.
Towards the end of the session, a spelling test was conducted through the dictation of a few words. The students participated with enthusiasm and were gently guided and corrected wherever they made mistakes. The activity provided them with an opportunity to practise correct spelling while developing greater confidence in writing English words.
The students remained curious, attentive, and actively engaged throughout the session and thoroughly enjoyed both the quiz and the spelling test. The combination of visual learning, interactive questioning, and practice-based activities made the session enjoyable and meaningful.
The session helped the students understand the basic concept of singular and plural nouns, improve their English vocabulary and spelling, and strengthen their ability to recall and apply grammar concepts. The quiz and spelling activities also encouraged active participation, concentration, confidence, and learning through practice.
The session was conducted by the MBA student volunteers Ms. Vrushika Shelar, Ms. Supriya Ghare, and Mr. Pranay Kurup.
