Pillai Group of Institutions collaborates with India’s Maharatna Company of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) to generate awareness about various evils and the eradication of those said evil.

Vigilance Awareness Week was observed on the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, 31st October, 2022 to 6th November, 2022. The theme for this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week also known as (“सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह”), is “Corruption free India for a developed Nation” and Pillai Institutions along with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) observed this reaffirming its resolve to fight corruption and ensure integrity in public life to usher in a new era of a self-reliant India.

Two principles that require attention are self-reliance and honesty since they are crucial to the overall success and development of the nation. We all have the chance to renew our commitment to our shared duty and obligation to uphold honesty and integrity in the systems and processes.

In recognition of this momentous stage in India’s journey, we conducted essay and debate competitions during this Vigilance Awareness Week. Prize distribution ceremony was held in the auditorium of Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research, and was inaugurated by Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, Director Public Relations, Pillai Group. With a warm welcome by Dr. Shreyans, Shri. M K Gupta, Chief General Manager, Head Vigilance offered his take on the Vigilance Week and his experience working at such a monolith of an organisation which was followed by a promising & patriotically provocative speech by Prof. Vikrant Gharat.

Students from sister institute of Pillai Group of Institutions, Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel won prizes in the essay writing and poster making competition with the youngest winners being from grade 4.

Students of Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research, Panvel won prizes in essay writing and elocution competition, judged by Prof. Vikrant Gharat and Ms. Gursharan Kaur. While the smooth functioning of the event was undertaken by Dr. Nivedita Shreyans and coordinated by Ms. Shipra Lal along with Shri. S. V. Jain, Ex-CVO, Infocom.

A demand draft of 20,000 was offered to the students of Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research, Panvel for performing a very moving and convincing skit at NBP Green Heights, Vasudhara Bhavan & IOGPT Panvel. The event concluded with Ms. Gursharan’s vote of thanks and a grateful attitude of students to the guests present for the event.
