18th July, 2012, a high profile three member Chinese delegation led by the Vice President of Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB), China, visited Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PiMSR), New Panvel. The delegation was highly impressed with the infrastructure, facilities, faculty and the management of PiMSR and Mahatma Education Society.
The Vice President of HUEB Mr. Chen Liang and Secretary and CEO of Mahatma Education Society, Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai signed the MOU in presence of dignitaries from both the sides. The MOU is signed for student and faculty exchange, co-operation in management research as well as developing and launching joint programs.
Delighted Mr. Chen Liang said that HUEB has tie-up with universities in 28 countries and due to its excellent infrastructure, facilities and vision of the management, Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research is chosen to be their key partner in India. Addressing the gathering, Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai said that China and India are two leading emerging economies of the world. With increasing globalization and borderless trade, there is greater need of partnership among world’s leading institution to globalize education and meet the needs of the industry.
Commenting on partnership the Director of PiMSR, Dr. G. Vijayaragavan mentioned that the partnership between PiMSR and HUEB will not only help develop students, faculty and students of both the sides but also place PiMSR in a different league compared to the other management institutes in Mumbai.
