The Training and Placement Cell of Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, in collaboration with the Training and Placement Cells of Pillai College of Engineering and Pillai College of Arts, Commerce, and Science hosted a significant event – JOB FAIR 2024 on 20th January, 2024.
The job fair was specifically organized for the students of Panvel and Rasayani campuses and its primary goal was to provide multiple job opportunities to the students at one location. It also aimed to facilitate direct interaction between students and potential employers.
A total of 43 companies participated in the job fair, indicating a diverse range of opportunities inclusive of technical and non technical roles for graduates and post graduate students.
The event saw a substantial turnout with 1200 students actively participating, showcasing a strong interest in exploring job opportunities and interacting with potential employers.
The event also included an interactive session between the management representatives and employers, enhancing the overall engagement and providing an additional platform for dialogue. Few of the employers shared their valuable and constructive feedback with regards to the skill gap and how collaborative efforts between industry and academia can bridge this gap to equip students where they can align as per industry expectations.
