As part of the holistic development of the MBA cohorts, a professional development activity was conducted to equip students with essential skills required to confidently navigate academic, corporate, and professional environments. The activity was conducted for 2 hours and it focused and emphasized beyond academic knowledge on professional etiquette, body language, dress sense, public speaking, effective communication, maintaining professional conduct, confidence building, and overall personality development as presenting oneself appropriately plays a vital role in building a successful career.
Future Benefits for Students
The activity served as a valuable initiative toward the holistic development and professional grooming of the MBA cohorts, enabling them to understand and immediately apply essential skills in their personal and professional lives. It highlighted the importance of etiquette, appropriate self-presentation, and professional conduct while interacting with others and representing themselves and the institution. The students gained a clear understanding of the do’s and don’ts of professional etiquette and learned how their appearance, body language, confidence, and overall conduct can influence the way they are perceived in academic and professional settings. Furthermore, the activity enhanced their awareness of the importance of both verbal and non-verbal communication and demonstrated how these forms of communication play a significant role in effective interpersonal interactions, professional relationships, and workplace communication. Overall, the activity equipped students with practical skills that will help them present themselves with greater confidence, professionalism, and effectiveness in their future academic and corporate endeavors.
