Food Donation Drive – अन्नसेतू

As part of the Social Service Committee of Pillai University School of Business, MBA students organized a Food Donation Drive titled “अन्नसेतू – मायेचा एक घास, माणुसकीचा एक सेतू” on 9th October 2026, in collaboration with Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur. Guided by the message “Share a Meal, touch a Life, Spread Kindness,” the initiative aimed to support underprivileged individuals, including people living in slum areas and those staying on the streets, by providing them with food.

To make the drive possible, the students circulated a QR code along with the campaign poster to collect donations from faculty members and fellow students. The contributions received helped fund the initiative, while the college canteen provided packaged food for distribution. The drive reflected the collective efforts of students, faculty members, the college canteen, and Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur towards promoting community welfare.

The food distribution activity was carried out across three locations in Panvel and Khandeshwar, Navi Mumbai. The volunteers visited PCE Road and Station Road in New Panvel East, followed by areas around Khandeshwar Station Road and Forest Colony Road. Food packets were distributed to people in need, with the students working together to ensure that the activity was conducted smoothly and respectfully.

The drive provided students with a valuable opportunity to understand the importance of empathy, teamwork, and social responsibility. Overall, अन्नसेतू was a meaningful initiative that demonstrated how collective contributions and the simple act of sharing a meal can bring people together and make a positive difference in the community.

The drive was successfully completed through the dedicated efforts and teamwork of the SSC student volunteers: Pradnyesh, Bhavesh, Akshay, Siddharth, Abhishek, Parth, Madhura, Diksha, Ritika, and Rishi. Their wholehearted participation contributed to the success of the initiative and reflected the spirit of compassion, service, and social responsibility.
