Education at times happen beyond four walls of classroom. MBA 1st year students of Pillai University, School of Business with Prof. Subhendu Bhattacharya and Dr. Bimlesh Sharma visited CIBA at Fr. C Rodriguez Institute of Technology, Vashi, Navi Mumbai on 5th October 2026 to get fresh perspectives on startup venture and Entrepreneurship. CIBA stands for Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration and supported and catalyzed by DST Nidhi under Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
Ms. Akshaya welmed and guided us to the venue for training. Mentor and Facilitator, Head of Incubator, Mr. Sagar Ranshoor took sessions for MBA first year students to provide information about Incubation, idea generation to execution, product development, market testing, seed capital, technological integration etc. There was discussion about technological disruption, dotcom era to start up era, 1st generation entrepreneur, online and offline partners, role of angel investors and venture capitalist, rapid prototyping and concept of MAGIC which was broken into Mentoring- Asset-Growth partners- Investment -Co Working. Md. Asif took students to office tour in CIBA and addressed their queries. It was very informative and insightful outdoor training program for students. Some of students may get inspired with CIBA support system and think about floating Business with innovative product or service. Overall, it was part of experiential learning for Management students.
