Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research participated in the observance of Community Service Day that was celebrated on 27th January, 2024, at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel.
15 students and 4 faculty members of the Social Service Committee of the institute conducted the day-long program for the 42 beneficiaries of Don Bosco Development Service, Nerul. The day began with a warm welcome with chocolates, joyful songs, and dance performances. Following a welcome speech and introductions, students showcased their talents and interests. A lunch break was followed by fun activities and games such as building a cup pyramid, passing the ball, flipping bottles, and musical chairs. Winners and participants were awarded prizes to encourage participation. The Chief Guest for the Day, Dr. Upendra Sontakke also visited the class and interacted with the beneficiaries. The day concluded with a DJ session, snacks, and gift distribution. The program ended with a vote of thanks to all participants, volunteers, and faculty members for their contributions to the successful event. Prof. Krushna R Sawant, Dr. Anjali Bhute, Dr. Betty Sibil and Dr. Celina Joy participated in the event.
