3. Write-up for the Website

Pillai University recently hosted the AIMA National Management Quiz, bringing together students from BMS, MBA and other commerce batches from different colleges. With 250 students and faculty members in the audience, the hall stayed full from start to finish. The quiz gave students a chance to test their business knowledge, industry awareness and problem-solving skills outside the regular classroom. For many of the students, it was also a chance to compete with and meet peers from other colleges who share the same interest in business and management.

Description of the Activity

The quiz was divided into several rounds and each round tested a different area. Questions came from marketing, finance, human resources, current economic trends, corporate history and general business awareness. Participants went through fast-paced rapid-fire rounds along with regular question rounds. Teams had very little time to discuss and lock in their answers, so the contestants were on their toes throughout.

The mix of questions kept things interesting. Some rounds depended on how fast a team could respond, while others gave the teams a little more time to think before answering. The change in pace from round to round gave the audience something to look forward to every time. A few questions were tricky enough to get the whole hall discussing the answer.

The audience was just as involved, trying to answer along with the teams and cheering them on whenever a tough question was cracked. The organising committee managed the event well and everything ran smoothly, from the opening remarks till the final scores were announced.

Key Learnings
Apart from the competition, the quiz gave everyone a few useful takeaways that students can carry into their studies and future careers. The main ones are listed below:

  • Quick decisions: Contestants had to decide fast, which showed how real business decisions are often made with very little time. It also helped them stay calm under pressure, which is a skill every future manager needs.
  • Wider business knowledge: The questions came from many different areas. This showed that a manager has to keep up with market changes, economic policies and what is happening in companies, and cannot depend only on textbooks.
  • Teamwork: Since students played in teams, they had to discuss ideas, listen to each other and use each member’s strengths to reach the right answer.
  • Inspiration and networking: Meeting students from other colleges and watching them handle difficult business questions made the audience more interested in learning and in taking part in management fests in the future.

The event ended with a felicitation ceremony where the winners were congratulated and all participants were appreciated for their effort. It was a good experience for the students, who left with new knowledge, new contacts and more confidence, and it was another step by Pillai University towards practical, hands-on business education. Events like this make learning more interactive and encourage students to keep growing beyond their syllabus.

4. Shorter Version for Social Media

Pillai University recently hosted the AIMA National Management Quiz, and it was a great day of learning and competition. Students from BMS, MBA and other commerce batches from different colleges came together, with 250 students and faculty members in the audience.

The quiz had rapid-fire rounds and questions on marketing, finance, HR and the economy. It was a good test of how quickly we can think, how updated we are with the business world, and how well we work as a team.
