The Incredible India event, organized at PIMSR on 23rd September, 2025, was a vibrant and intellectually engaging initiative aimed at welcoming and integrating the new cohort of first-year MBA students. The event began promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Guest of Honour – Mr. Sankalp Chandelkar
The event began with the lighting of the lamp, setting a traditional tone. The audience then warmly welcomed the Guest of Honour, Mr. Sankalp Chandelkar, a leadership strategist known for his work on blending ancient Indian wisdom with modern business thinking. He was felicitated by Prof. Mangesh Malusare, Chairman of the Student Activity Committee.
The core segment of the event was a thematic representation of the four cardinal zones of India i.e North, South, East and West; with students divided into respective groups. Each group was allotted 30 minutes to showcase the history, tradition, economy, sports, education and a business idea unique to their assigned region. The event successfully merged cultural richness with entrepreneurial spirit.
North Zone: The North team took a bold route by dramatizing Draupadi’s Vastraharan, bringing mythological storytelling to life. Their performance served as a powerful symbol of resilience and moral courage giving the audience something to truly reflect on.
South Zone: From their business pitch, “Malabar Spices” to their high-energy dance performances on popular South Indian hits, the South team stole the show. Their presentation was vibrant, cohesive and deeply rooted in the region’s traditions, earning them the title of Overall Winners of Incredible India.
East Zone: The East team paid tribute to some of India’s greatest sports legends, including Mary Kom and Sachin Tendulkar. They also wowed the audience with a fashion walk representing the diverse states of Eastern India, followed by an elegant Bengali dance performance that celebrated rhythm and grace.
West Zone: The West group delivered a wholesome performance that covered everything from food and culture to iconic dance forms like Garba and Lavani. Their act honoring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj through dance was especially powerful and left a lasting impact on the audience.
Post the regional presentations, Mr. Chandelkar addressed the students, offering insightful perspectives on how ancient Indian wisdom can be effectively integrated with modern management strategies. His address resonated deeply with the audience and reinforced the event’s objective of cultural and intellectual immersion.
The event featured six title recognitions to celebrate creativity & hardwork: Time Trekker, Groove Guru, Cash Captain, Startup Samurai, Power Player & Idea Ninja. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem in its classical rendition, marking the end of a truly remarkable and enriching experience at 4:30 p.m.
