Mohd Arfat Iqbal Mukri, MBA First Year student of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PIMSR), secured First Prize in the Inter-Collegiate Startup Idea Challenge – “Shark Tank 2.0,” held on 9th and 10th October, 2025. Representing PIMSR, he presented an innovative business startup idea before a distinguished panel of judges in a competitive Shark Tank format.
The objective of participating in this competition was to provide students with a platform to develop entrepreneurial competencies, gain real-time pitching experience, and demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills in a competitive inter-institutional environment. The competition required participants to present their business model, value proposition, revenue strategy, and scalability potential within a stipulated timeframe. Mohd Arfat Iqbal Mukri showcased exceptional clarity of concept, strong financial understanding, market feasibility analysis, and confident presentation skills, which led to securing the top position.
The achievement enhanced practical learning in startup planning, investor pitching, and strategic thinking while strengthening communication and analytical abilities. This accomplishment reflects PIMSR’s commitment to nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) initiatives.
