The Granth Dindi program as part of the “Vachan Sankalp Maharashtracha” initiative, which aims to promote reading and enhance literacy across the state. This event was jointly organized by the PIMSR Library in collaboration with the libraries of PCACS, PCE, and PICA. The program celebrated the joy of literature and encouraged students to develop a lifelong reading habit, to embrace literature and recognize its importance in personal and academic growth.
The program featured a vibrant book procession, where students and faculty came together to participate in a lively parade that circled the entire campus. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and energy, with students proudly displaying banners and posters promoting the joy of reading. As they paraded, participants chanted the motto “Read to Lead” a motto cherished by our institutions, creating an engaging and spirited environment that captured the attention of onlookers. This procession not only celebrated the significance of books but also served as a visual representation of the collective commitment to fostering a reading culture within the college community. The event emphasized the importance of literature in shaping minds and inspiring creativity, reinforcing the belief that reading is a vital foundation for leadership and personal growth. Following the procession, students gathered for a group reading session.
The Granth Dindi program was a great success, reinforcing the importance of reading and inspiring students to connect with literature. We look forward to hosting more events that nurture a love for books among our students.
