Panel Discussion with Start-up Enablers titled Fuelling Ambitions, Shaping Futures – A Leadership and Entrepreneurship Series was organised by the Institution Innovation Council of PiMSR on Friday, 16th August 2024 from 4:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. for management students pursuing PGDM. The panelists were Mr. Ajit Patil, CEO and Managing Director of Alpa Chemicals Pvt Ltd, Mr. Amit Singh Chadha, CEO and cofounder of Advent Chembio Pvt Ltd., and Ms. Tanvi Dandawate Auti, Managing director of Dhruv consultancy Services. The session was moderated by Swetapadma Mohanty, Founder CEO at Business Leadership League. The objective of the session was to motivate the students to become entrepreneurs and encourage balance in professional and personal life. The panel discussion titled “Fuelling Ambitions, Shaping Futures – A Leadership and Entrepreneurship Series” brought together influential startup enablers to explore the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship. Key topics included the role of innovation in driving business success, strategies for overcoming challenges in the startup ecosystem, and the importance of mentorship and networking. Panelists shared insights on fostering a culture of creativity and resilience, emphasizing the need for adaptability in rapidly changing markets. They also discussed the impact of technology on startups, highlighting opportunities in emerging sectors. The session underscored the significance of leadership in guiding startups through growth phases and the critical role of collaboration between startups, investors, and incubators. Overall, the discussion provided valuable perspectives on how to navigate the complex journey of entrepreneurship while staying focused on long-term goals and sustainable growth.
49 students, four faculty members and 4 external guest faculty were present for the event. The benefit of the session was that students got different perspectives on entrepreneurship. It was an interactive session with students asking many questions to the panelists. The afternoon dedicated to encouraging entrepreneurship though this initive was coordianted by IIC committee members; Prof. Anil Jadhwani, Prof. Krushna R. Sawant and Prof. Vinod Madhavan.
