As a part of the “Beautification Drive at Panvel Railway Station” 24 students at Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research coordinated resources to paint the walls of Panvel Railway Station in December 2020. As this initiative was undertaken during the pandemic, the artwork was dedicated to the front line Corona warriors. Railway stations play an important part in the daily commute of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai residents but are very often the most neglected part of the city infrastructure. The students hence, took the pandemic related low traffic period to beautify the station. This initiative has given a vibrant and rejuvenated look to the otherwise dull premises.
