Day 6
Workshop on “SIP Research Report Content – Parts and Chapters, APA Style of Referencing”
Date and Time: Saturday, 14th May, 2022 at 7 p.m.

A research workshop on “Parts and Chapters, APA Style of Referencing” was organized by the Research and Monitoring Committee, on Saturday, 14th May, 2022 as a part of the SIP workshops for management students. The session was conducted by Prof. Shailendra Pawaskar and Prof. Baban More. The session was attended by 132 students and faculty. The main objective of the session was to acquaint students with the APA style of referencing and also to provide a clear structure of the research report. The formats for writing references for textbooks, reports, journals and newspapers were explained to the students. The Google Scholar website and similar other sites were demonstrated and shown to students.

Day 5
Workshop on “SIP Research Report Content – Data Analysis, Suggestions and Conclusions”
Date and Time: Friday, 13th May, 2022 at 7.00 p.m.

A research workshop on the topic on “Data Analysis, Suggestions and Conclusions” was conducted on Friday, 13th May, 2022 by the Research and Monitoring Committee. The session was conducted by Dr. Anjali Bhute and Dr. Vivekanand Pawar. The objective of the session was to familiarize students and teach them about data analysis as a part of project report writing. Data analysis is a critical step in research that leads to drawing conclusions and providing possible solutions. With this as the main objective the seminar dealt with providing students with certain tools that can be useful in analyzing the data collected. The session was attended by 180 students and faculty.

Day 4
Workshop on “SIP Research Report Content – Research Objectives and Review of Literature”
Date and Time: Thursday, 12th May, 2022 at 7.00 p.m.

A research workshop on the topic “Research Objectives and Review of Literature” was conducted on Thursday, 12th May, 2022 by the Research and Monitoring Committee. The objective of the session was to acquaint students on forming clear objectives and review past research in one’s area of interest. The important step of writing research objectives was the key highlight of the session. The session also included a discussion on how a systematic review of literature should be undertaken so as to obtain a 360 degree understanding of the subject at hand. Report writing is a crucial step in showcasing the research undertaken. The session was conducted by Dr. Shaheda Sheikh and Prof. Mamta Nair and it was well received by students. The session was attended by 161 students and faculty.

Day 3
Workshop on “Company Analysis Frameworks in Management Research – BCG and Ansoff Analysis”
Date and Time: Wednesday, 11th May, 2022 at 7.00 p.m.

A research workshop on the topic “Company Analysis Frameworks in Management Research – BCG and Ansoff Analysis” was conducted on Wednesday, 11th May, 2022 by the Research and Monitoring Committee for the management students who are currently doing summer internships. The objective of the session was to help students research and identify the internal factors of a company that have an impact on its overall functioning and that lead to the competitive advantage that they possess. The Company Analysis frameworks that were covered as a part of this seminar were BCG and Ansoff Analysis. Better alignment of internal factors can also be a source of sustained competitive advantage for their organizations in future. These two tools were important to help in product pricing and product differentiation. The session was conducted by Dr. Roopam Gosain and Prof. Priyanka Chatta was well received by students. Dr. Betty Sibil summarized the industry and company analysis by sharing a sample internship report for better understanding of the concepts. The session was attended by 175 students and faculty.

Day 2
Workshop on “Company Analysis Frameworks in Management Research – SWOT Analysis and 7-S”
Date and Time: Tuesday, 10th May, 2022 at 7.00 p.m.

A research workshop on the topic “Company Analysis Frameworks in Management Research– SWOT Analysis and 7-S” was conducted on Tuesday, 11th May, 2022 by the Research and Monitoring Committee for the management students. The objective of the session was to help students research and identify the internal factors of a company that have an impact on its overall functioning and that lead to the competitive advantage that they possess. The Company Analysis frameworks that were covered as a part of this seminar were SWOT analysis and Mckinsey’s 7S Framework. Knowledge of these frameworks will help them attain higher levels of alignment with respect to internal factors that affect organizational performance. Better alignment of internal factors can also be a source of sustained competitive advantage for their organizations in future. The session was conducted by Dr. Celina Joy and Prof. Subramanian Iyer and it was well received by students. The session was attended by 184 students and faculty.

Workshop on “Industry Analysis Frameworks in Management Research”
Date and Time: Monday, 9th May, 2022 at 7.00 p.m.

A research workshop on the topic “Industry Analysis Frameworks in Management Research” was conducted on Monday, 9th May, 2022 by the Research and Monitoring Committee for the management students. This session was organized to teach the students about the importance of identifying the environmental factors that have an effect on conduct of any business. The Industry Analysis frameworks that were covered as a part of this seminar were PESTEL analysis and Porter’s Five Forces model. Knowledge of these frameworks will help them to write the project report by first understanding the external environment that is an integral part of business. The session was conducted by Dr. R. Chandran and Prof. Balashankar Ramadas. The session was attended by 186 students and faculty members.
