On 4th November, 2022 the MMS Batch 2021-2023 students from PIMSR embarked on an industrial visit to the Haridwar-Dehradun-Mussoorie-Rishikesh belt. The trip was organized by PIMSR and was filled with learning opportunities and experiences that the students will remember and apply to their future careers. The journey began in Bandra terminus and ended in Delhi cantt.
On November 5th, 2022 the group arrived in Haridwar and visited the Patanjali Yogpeeth. The visit provided insight into the retail sector and the product line of Patanjali. The students learned about the success of Yogapreneur Baba Ramdev and the various organic products offered by Patanjali.
On November 6th, 2022 the group travelled to Dehradun and stayed at The Marbella, a Spanish boutique hotel. They visited the Forest Research Institute, which was built in 1906 during British India, to learn about climate change and environmental sustainability. They also visited the Mindrolling Monastery, which highlighted the importance of meditation and stress management.
On November 7th, 2022 the group reached Mussoorie and visited the local markets such as Mall road and Library Chowk, where they learned about the handicraft and winter apparel markets, including bargaining and pricing strategies.
The final destination was Rishikesh, where the students experienced the local markets, cafe culture, and street delicacies. They also stayed in four and five-star hotels to gain perspective on table etiquettes and hospitality management.
Overall, the trip was a valuable learning experience that provided knowledge and understanding of different industries and cultures.
