Industrial Visit to Foam Home India Pvt. Ltd.

Pillai’s Institute of Management Studies and Research organized an Industrial Visit on 27th February at to Foam India Pvt. Ltd. located at Taloja for the students of MMS (division C). The visit was organized with prior permission and guidance of Hon. Director Chandran R. Sir on behalf of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as a part of MMS Course Curriculum. The visit was organized to provide students with practical insights into the operations of a manufacturing company and understand the production processes of foam products.

Company Overview:
Foam Home India Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of foam products in India, specializing in the production of high-quality foam for various applications. The company has a rich history and has established itself as a trusted name in the industry.

It was founded in 1995 by Mr. Huseni Bhanpurawala and currently led by their CEO, Ms. Sabina Bhanpurawala with a vision to cater to the growing demand for innovative foam solutions in the Indian market. Over the years, the company has expanded its operations and product offerings, becoming a preferred choice for customers seeking reliable and durable foam products. The company’s journey was from servicing old mattresses to becoming a technology backed premium mattress manufacturer committed to delivering unwavering excellence. They have a total of 35 employees, 45 in factories and 5 offline showrooms.

Manufacturing and Operations:
Foam Home India Pvt. Ltd. is a premium mattress manufacturing company with 14 global patents. The company has a wide range of machinery. The company has different areas allocated for different units such as warehouse for raw material storage, pillow department for pillow making, cutting department, couture cutting area, The Company uses various machines, the Ergo shell technology, a fibre opening machine, a scrap compressing machine. The threads for quilting are from brought from Madhurai, India and the foam from Italy and Thailand. Approx. at a time 200kgs waste material is collected and recycled into smaller scrap foam for stuffing toys and shoe-soles.
