Pillai’s Institute of Management Studies and Research organized an Industrial Visit on 27th February at to Foam India Pvt. Ltd. located at Taloja for the students of MMS (division C). The visit was organized with prior permission and guidance of Hon. Director Chandran R. Sir on behalf of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as a part of MMS Course Curriculum. The visit was organized to provide students with practical insights into the operations of a manufacturing company and understand the production processes of foam products.

Foam Home India Pvt. Ltd. is a premium mattress manufacturing company with 14 global patents. The company has a wide range of machinery. The company has different areas allocated for different units such as warehouse for raw material storage, pillow department for pillow making, cutting department, couture cutting area, The Company uses various machines, the Ergo shell technology, a fibre opening machine, a scrap compressing machine. The threads for quilting are from brought from Madhurai, India and the foam from Italy and Thailand. Approx. at a time 200kgs waste material is collected and recycled into smaller scrap foam for stuffing toys and shoe-soles.

Products Portfolio:
They have refined and modernized the industry by launching innovations such as High Density Foam, Memory Foam, Gel, Latex, and their own globally patented mattress technology, the Ergoshell.
